We have been one of the early adopters of BigCommerce (in early 2010). Our team had developed three online businesses that we have quickly grown and sold to other parties. Federated Tool is a family-run independent retailer located in London, Ontario. The retailer offers the largest selection of high-end power tools. Federated Tool’s main objective was to increase in-store sales and then start selling online. We wanted to offer visitors the opportunity to consult the retailer’s complete inventory on all digital platforms before going to the store. We quickly analyzed existing website data, competitors, customers and technology needs to develop our action plan. We wanted to ensure that our strategy would bear fruit quickly. Based on the customer’s needs and budget, we decided build the store on BigCommerce Platform.

We developed a contemporary and responsive design that takes into consideration ease of use for an optimal online shopping experience. We developed fully customized mega menu, customized brand pages and extensive custom product page. The store is directly linked to a multitude of integrated Apps for marketing and logistical purposes. Such as Shipstation. We have implemented control tools that allow us to measure the performance of all our actions in order to adapt our strategy based on real data.

Alexander Levashov is a Managing Director of Magenable. He has an undergraduate degree in IT/business and MBA from Melbourne Business School. Alex has over 20 years of experience in digital and finance, delivering solutions to such organizations as USAID, Bendigo and Adelaide bank, ACMA prior to founding Magenable.
